The Newborn Channel’s website is being updated and redesigned to improve usefulness to you and your new parents. The update will “go live” and replace our current website in February. Until then, we invite you to visit the new site as it is being finalized and give us your feedback.

Want to use programming and promote the Newborn Channel for your patients during prenatal classes and hospital tours prior to admission? Acting on an input from maternity educators, The Newborn Channel now offers a smart phone application which is free to your patients as part of your hospital’s subscription entitlement.
Want to see for yourself? To get connected, use your phone and text the word NEWBORN to 443443. You will receive back a link to the application. Just click the link to get started. There is no charge from The Newborn Channel to you or your patients for this, but please remember that (as with all such apps) individual phone plans determine whether any text or data costs will be incurred.
There is information for patients on how to access the new app inside current Newborn Channel Guides. Additionally, look for small flyers in the boxes containing Newborn Channel schedules. The flyers promote the new app and the availability of our programming on demand at www.newbornchannelonline.com which you can hand out to prospective parents before or during their hospital stay.
- During hospital tours
- At pre-natal classes
- Any other way which helps you
Thanks to your participation as a Newborn Channel subscriber, your patients can begin watching programs before they arrive at your hospital to deliver, during their post-partum stay, or even post-discharge. The App includes programs on breastfeeding, newborn care, car seat safety, immunizations, post-partum depression, and more!
Hint: If you like the flyers for patients and want to continue receiving them, let us know. Your feedback will help us decide whether this item is valued enough to merit continued distribution.

We thought you might like a couple examples of how other hospitals are promoting on-demand use of Newborn Channel programs to their patients on their hospital web sites:
Pinnacle Health in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania links to the Newborn Channel through its Women’s Health website. Click here for example.
Willis-Knighton Health System in Shreveport, Louisiana and Monroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Florida. Click here for example.
